HB Protective Wear is breaking new ground in arc fault protection with the HB-4Energy collection: lightweight rip-stop fabric combined with stretchy and abrasion-resistant elements provide protection in all the right places. This modern multi-risk collection has been specially developed for the energy supplier and network operator market. It is available in cool colours and can be perfectly combined.
The contemporary design is an eye-catcher and is not least due to the well thought-out combination of materials. The main material, a modacrylic/cotton/polyamide blend, is combined with a very hard-wearing and dirt-repellent aramid trim with a ceramic print in high-wear areas. The jacket has reinforced shoulders, upper arms, elbows and arm seams, while the trousers have reinforced knees and inner legs.
The third key feature is the many elasticated inserts. In the jacket, these are located on the shoulders and in the chest and underarm area, allowing the arms to move freely. On the trousers, stretchy material on the knees and hips provides an exceptionally high level of comfort with plenty of freedom of movement - even when working in uncomfortable postures.
This also increases the wearer's safety, as the protective clothing does not slip even when stretching or bending. The double segmented reflective stripes complement the high-visibility protection.
HB-4Energy therefore offers appropriate safety in all work situations that require increased visibility.
Other features include a back extension as kidney protection and knitted cuffs on the sleeves as wind protection. The 5 pockets on the jacket and 4 pockets on the trousers also provide plenty of storage space.
HB-4Energy not only meets the current zeitgeist visually and functionally, but also as versatile multi-risk PPE. The collection, which was specially developed for grid operators and energy suppliers, covers many areas of work in these industries and is available in a single-layer version with 4 kA arc fault protection and a double-layer version with 7 kA arc fault protection, depending on the work requirements.
The trousers are available in two different colour combinations: the trouser legs are warm yellow throughout and dark blue at the bottom hem, and the upper part is dark blue and the bottom is warm yellow. This not only looks good, but also makes sense, for example, if the susceptibility to dirt and the visibility requirements differ depending on the area of use.
The design with the higher proportion of navy does not affect the high-visibility properties, as these are identical for all versions: the trousers have high-visibility class 1 and the jacket high-visibility class 2 in accordance with EN ISO 20471. HB-4Energy also has heat, flame and welding protection as well as chemical protection and antistatic properties. The collection is available from stock in all standard sizes and product variants.
